The situation around the Zaporozhye NPP in Energodar is becoming more and more dangerous due to the threat of an accident, which the Russian occupiers are provoking with their actions. Residents of the surrounding areas are increasingly turning to the authorities with a request for evacuation, but at the moment it is difficult to carry out due to possible shelling from the invaders. That is why Ukraine demands from the Russian Federation a humanitarian corridor for the removal of civilians from the vicinity of the ZNPP. Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk said this in an interview with the French TV channel LCI..

She stressed that yesterday's shelling and the disconnection of the last power unit of the station from the network brought the worst of all possible occupation scenarios even closer, and that is why the evacuation of civilians is now more necessary than ever..

“The situation around the largest nuclear power plant in Europe continues to be tense due to constant shelling by the Russian army.. In particular, the shelling provoked a fire and disconnection from the network of its last power unit.. Civilians from the surrounding settlements want to evacuate as soon as possible. People turn to us en masse for help - they are trying to leave dangerous territory. We once again appeal to the Russian Federation with a demand to provide us with a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of women, children and the elderly! "

According to the minister, the occupiers refuse all appeals of the Ukrainian side.
