In the midst of field work, the issue of extending the reservation of workers in the agricultural sector is particularly acute. People's Deputy Ivan Chaikovsky took the initiative to automatically extend the deferment from mobilization for this category of persons, until appropriate changes are made to the legislation.
The main problem is that in the near future the six-month reservation period for agricultural workers will expire and they can be mobilized during the “hottest” period for farmers. Postponement from mobilization would solve this issue.
“This will allow farmers to carry out all the necessary field work, take care of the country’s food security and form a reliable rear,” the deputy emphasized..
The proposal was approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy. The corresponding appeal was sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
