The mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will visit the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in the temporarily occupied Energodar in the coming days. This will probably happen even today, August 29, because the delegation is already on its way. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, announced this on Twitter..

“The day has come, the IAEA mission to support and assist the Zaporozhye NPP is already on its way. We must protect the security of Ukraine's largest nuclear facility in Europe. Proud to be leading this mission this week,” wrote Rafael Grossi.

The day @IAEAorg's Support and Assistance Mission to #Zaporizhzhya (ISAMZ) is now on its way. We must protect the safety and security of #Ukraine and Europe in the fight against a nuclear facility. Path to this mission which will be in #ZNPP after this week. pic. twitter. com/tyVY7l4SrM.

Recall, ISW reported that Russia, following the experience of Iran, is manipulating the facts about the situation at the ZNPP and is trying in every possible way to prevent the IAEA mission from visiting the power plant. The other day it became known that the Russian special forces are torturing employees of the Zaporizhzhya NPP so that they do not tell the IAEA inspectors about the security breach.

Prior to this, the Russians repeatedly shelled the power plant, blaming the Ukrainian army for this..
