The Russians began to build a pontoon crossing next to the Antonovsky bridge connecting Kherson with the Left Bank. The bridge on the eve received significant damage due to precise strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Radio Liberty reports about the construction with reference to satellite images that the editors have at their disposal..

A photo from the Planet Labs satellite dated August 27 shows that the object extends almost to the middle of the bridge, previously reaching a length of 620 meters. Probably, after a few days, the invaders moved a little further in formation..

At the same time, British intelligence, commenting on the aforementioned construction, the first signs of which appeared on August 19, believe that the floating bridge “is likely to be vulnerable to offensive actions by Ukrainian troops”.

Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted pinpoint strikes on the Antonovsky bridge in occupied Kherson on the night of July 27.

In the first days of August, after the bridge was put out of action, the occupiers set up ferry crossings for civilian transport on one side, and a separate crossing for military equipment on the other..

A week ago, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Antonovsky bridge, when the occupiers were transporting ammunition across it.
