Since the beginning of the Russian war in Ukraine, almost 600 Ukrainians have returned from captivity, of which just over 100 are civilians.. This was announced by the head of the National Information Bureau Alexander Smirnov.

According to him, the state exchanged only the military for Russian soldiers.. It was also established that there are 5911 children on the territory of the aggressor state who were deported to enemy territory.. Also in Ukraine, a platform has been created to search for deported and missing children, with the help of which it is possible to return children to the territory of Ukraine.

According to the head of the war crimes department of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, Yuriy Belousov, prosecutors are studying almost 26,000 war crimes committed against Ukrainians.. 135 people have already been charged. Fifteen accused are in custody, the rest have not yet been detained.

Thirteen cases have already been submitted to the courts and seven sentences have been handed down..

Recall that on June 29, the largest exchange of prisoners of war took place since the beginning of the full-scale war of Russia in Ukraine. Of the 144 released - 95 defenders of Azovstal, among whom are 43 servicemen of the Azov regiment.

The National Information Bureau, which was established on March 17, collects data on prisoners of war, missing persons and persons illegally detained by Russian soldiers.
