German economists doubt the possibility of exporting more than 20 million tons of Ukrainian grain by sea, reports DW.

Experts from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy have calculated that about 570 vessels are needed to export 20 million tons of last year's grain stored in Ukraine..

“Now the harvest is starting again, which urgently needs storage, so other transport options, such as trains and trucks, must be fully utilized,” said Vincent Stahmer, head of IfW’s Kiel Trade Indicator..

Recall that the export of Ukrainian grain through the Danube ports began immediately after the expulsion of the Russian occupiers from Snake Island on July 7. , as well as by rail and road transport through Romania and Bulgaria began long before the opening of the grain corridor in the Odessa region.
