No catastrophe or pandemic has such a global impact on human mental health as war. Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko spoke about this at the Second International Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv.

According to him, Ukrainians have aged at least 10 years in the five months of the war..

“Unfortunately, the global catastrophes that haunt humanity have a significant impact on mental health. But not a single man-made disaster, not a single pandemic has such an impact on health as war.

We have been talking all the time that we want to increase life expectancy in Ukraine among Ukrainians. We wanted Ukrainians to achieve this European life expectancy. But these five months of the war have already led to the fact that we, Ukrainians, have aged ten years.. For at least ten years. That is, the diseases that we had at the age of 60 will now be among people aged 45-50,” Lyashko said, Ukrinform reports..

At the same time, according to Lyashko, thanks to innovative equipment, Ukraine conducts modern operations, develops transplantation.
