Law enforcement officers detained on suspicion of high treason the former head of the SBU in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Oleg Kulinich. Information to Ukrayinska Pravda was confirmed by sources in the Security Service of Ukraine.

Kulinich was informed of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code, including under article 111 (treason), which provides for up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.

The SBU reminded that thousands of honest and professional patriots work in its ranks, many of whom are now defending Ukraine with weapons in their hands. At the same time, the fight against agents of the Russian special services testifies to the cleansing of the Service.

Until recently, Kulynych remained in office and was fired by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 2.. Even before his appointment, activists warned that he might cooperate with the aggressor, says activist Sergei Sternenko.

According to him, it was Kulinich who smuggled Sergei Korotkikh (“Boatswain”) to the SBU, who is associated with working for the special services of Russia and Belarus, in particular, the case of the murder in Kyiv of the head of the “Belarusian House” Vitaly Shishov.
