In a commentary to Facts ICTV, Natalya Nakonechnaya, senior lawyer at the international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang, noted that there are two lists in the order of the Ministry of Defense:.

First - the List of specialties and / or professions related to the corresponding military specialties, after which women are registered for military service. It is in it that 14 specialties and seven professions are registered, the very fact of receiving which contains a requirement for a woman to become registered with the military (if they are suitable for health reasons and age).

Second - List of specialties and / or professions related to the corresponding military specialties. It spells out 35 professions and 76 specialties, most of which were not included in the first list.. But they are also considered related to the corresponding military specialties..

Nakonechnaya explained that the second list included such specialties as music and performing arts, management, law, banking, hotel and restaurant business, etc..

“It is not entirely clear whether professions / specialties from the second list (other than those in the first) make women obliged to register for the military. From unofficial comments of representatives of recruitment centers (former military registration and enlistment offices), military registration is mandatory only for specialties / professions from the first list.
