Occupants destroy gas pipelines in Zaporozhye, leaving people unable to cook their own food. They prevent Ukrainian repair crews from resuming gas supply by firing at them with firearms.. This was announced by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov in Telegram.

According to the official, the Russians have repeatedly ignored the request of the Ukrainian authorities to establish a regime of silence. Fedorov noted that their behavior indicates the deliberate deprivation of gas of the whole region.

“Rashists continue to mock the residents of the temporarily occupied territories. This time they left the population of Melitopol, Pologovsky and Vasilyevsky districts without gas. It was Russian military shelling that damaged the main gas pipeline. Moreover, they ignored our repeated proposals to establish a silence mode for its repair.. As a result, the repair team came under fire.. This gives reason to believe that the occupiers deliberately deprived the whole region of gas,” Fedorov wrote..

In addition, the mayor of Melitopol stressed that the lack of gas entails the impossibility of baking bread.. Moreover, the occupiers do not allow bread to be delivered to the city, even at the expense of local authorities.. Fedorov once again stated that the actions of the Russian invaders are the genocide of the Ukrainian people.

Despite the difficult situation in the occupied part of the Zaporozhye region, local partisans continue to fight the invaders. In particular, on July 7 they destroyed the railway bridge between Melitopol and Tokmak, violating the logistics routes of the Russian army..

Russia in the occupied Ukrainian territories is pursuing a deliberate policy of genocide against Ukrainians. And if some countries have recognized this “crime of crimes” against Ukrainians at the political level, then what about legal recognition? About this in the article by Irina Pavlenko "
