Residents of the temporarily occupied southern regions of Ukraine, especially Kherson and Zaporozhye, should be evacuated as quickly as possible by all possible means so that the Armed Forces can liberate these territories without endangering the civilian population.

Irina Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, made such a request on the air of a nationwide telethon.

“The evacuation is underway and people know about it. The horizontal communication system works very well. Those who left and the volunteers know the way, we join. I won’t talk about it publicly now, because it’s the safety of people,” Vereshchuk said..

According to her, Russia wants the civilian population to stay as long as possible in the occupied territories, and is doing everything to close the possibility for people to officially evacuate.. At the same time, people, especially women who have children, should have wisdom in life and understand that staying in the territory of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions is many times worse and more dangerous than staying in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Vereshchuk also noted that the Russian invaders use the civilian population as a human shield, so citizens must leave to enable the Armed Forces to liberate the land from the enemy..

" She urged to leave and take out their relatives by all available means..

As previously reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to recapture the Kherson region. The invaders will resist and try to hide behind the civilian population as a human shield.
