Court cases in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea will be transferred to the courts of Kyiv and Odessa regions. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev on July 5, according to the official page of the department..

In particular, criminal cases within the jurisdiction of the courts of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol will be transferred to the courts of the Kyiv region, since it is in Kyiv that the prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is located, and civil cases will be considered in the Odessa region, taking into account the territorial proximity of the regions.

This decision allows residents of the temporarily occupied territories to exercise their right to access to justice..

Recall that Law No. 3048 “On Amendments to Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens and the Legal Regime in the Temporarily Occupied Territory of Ukraine” on the establishment of alternative jurisdiction for cases whose participants reside on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol The Verkhovna Rada.
