A draft law was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada providing for the free movement of conscripts, reservists and conscripts within the territory of Ukraine without obtaining permission from the military registration and enlistment offices. The corresponding initiative is registered on the website of the Parliament.

The text of the bill has not yet been published, but one of the deputies-initiators Dmitry Cherny explained on the Facebook page that, first of all, the changes to the legislation are aimed at excluding the requirement.

“We registered bill No. 7522, on the unhindered movement of conscripts, conscripts and reservists across the territory of Ukraine without obtaining appropriate permission from the military registration and enlistment office. The idea is simple - to remove the “dead” and potentially corrupt rule on obtaining appropriate permits under the legislation dated 1992,” Cherny wrote..

It is expected that the decision on making appropriate changes to the law will be made on July 8-9.

The day before, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that those liable for military service would not be able to leave their place of residence without the permission of the military commissariat. This caused a violent reaction from society and forced the General Staff to give additional explanations about the innovation.. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also reacted, urging the department to no longer make such decisions without his knowledge..
