Ukraine bought about 2,900 RGW 90 Matador anti-tank grenade launchers from Germany, DW reports..

The weapons were bought at their own expense directly from the German manufacturer Dynamit Nobel Defense (DND).

Grenade launchers have already been delivered to Ukraine.

This is the second such purchase since the beginning of a full-scale war.. In March, Kyiv purchased from DND 5100 grenade launchers RGW 90 Matador. This means that the agreement was approved by the German government.

The German government also promised Ukraine weapons, but at the expense of Germany. Meanwhile, of the 2,700 Strela anti-aircraft missiles promised by Berlin, only 500 were initially delivered, another 1,500 missiles were transferred after Kyiv's insistent entreaties. Ukraine also received 500 Stinger missiles, 3,000 Faustpatrons and 16 million rounds of ammunition from Germany..

This week, the German government published a list of weapons supplied to Ukraine. It follows from it that since the end of March, Germany has been supplying Kyiv mainly with mines, fuses and hand grenades.. The only significant supply of heavy weapons - seven anti-tank howitzers - Ukraine received only the other day, although the promise to transfer them sounded back in early May.

The first 15 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, which were promised to Kyiv in early April, should be delivered only at the end of July, and the rest - before the end of August. In early June, it was also reported that Germany was ready to supply four Mars II MLRS to Kyiv, but subsequently the German Ministry of Defense clarified that only three such systems could be delivered.
