Russians continue to spread false information in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in social networks. On June 11, pro-Russian Telegram channels and media launched three new fakes to discredit the Ukrainian authorities and the military. This is reported by the Center for countering disinformation..

According to the JRC, a new selection of fakes concerns Ukrainian ships, subpoenas to the army and bank loans to Ukrainians in occupied cities..

The first manipulation of the Russians is a video, the main theme of which is that a woman allegedly received a “funeral” about the death of her son, and a few days after that, a summons demanding his arrival at the military commissariat. The CPD draws attention to the fact that the Russian “actress” is given out by the broken Ukrainian language that sounds in the frame.

The second fake of Russian propaganda is false information about loans. It is distributed by the so-called “head” of Kherson, Volodymyr Saldo, who claims that all loans that people took from Ukrainian banks can not be repaid.. According to him, " This information is not true.

The third fake concerns alleged damage by the Russian army to Ukrainian ships. Russian media reported that the Russian Armed Forces disabled the Ukrainian ships Vinnitsa and Yuri Olefirenko and even published a video of the Vinnitsa sinking, but the ship was decommissioned back in 2021.

The JRC urges to carefully check the information and use only official sources of the Ukrainian authorities and authoritative media.
