Europe cancels free travel for Ukrainian refugees

In Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic decided to abolish free transport for Ukrainian refugees. According to the European Union for the Support of Ukraine, this will happen on June 1.

At the same time, preferential travel will be introduced for Ukrainians. In Germany, a ticket for all types of urban transport and regional trains will cost 9 euros. In the Czech Republic, a subscription to all types of public transport will cost Ukrainian refugees 7 euros.



Poland also announced the abolition of free public transport in Warsaw. Regarding regional trains and international rail links, the country promised to provide additional clarification.

Travel rules for Ukrainians from June 1 may also change in those countries that have not announced such plans..

As previously reported, the UN predicts that more than 8 million people may leave Ukraine..
