Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation in Lviv came with searches to the relatives of the people's deputy, suspected of treason, Viktor Medvedchuk and people's deputy Taras Kozak, reports the State Bureau of Investigation. Searches are being carried out in apartments, houses and industrial enterprises belonging to the Kozak family, as well as to Viktor Medvedchuk's brother, Sergei.
“Searchs are carried out as part of criminal proceedings on suspicion of abuse of power and violation of the rules for the protection or use of subsoil (Art.. 364, st. 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Relatives of Kozak and Medvedchuk are the subjects of criminal proceedings for illegal sand mining at two quarries in the Lviv region,” the SBI noted..
Law enforcement officers want to establish the illegally acquired property of Medvedchuk and Kozak, as well as their relatives. The purpose of the State Bureau of Investigation is to seize this property and document the involvement of deputies in financing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
