Ukrainians warned of a possible increase in enemy cyber attacks on Easter

One of the biggest holidays of the year is approaching - Easter.. Unfortunately, due to the war that the Russian Federation started against Ukraine, not everyone will be able to spend the holiday with their families, together with relatives and friends.. However, many will receive congratulations virtually, via instant messengers or email.. The State Service for Special Communications warns: the enemy can use this to try to carry out new cyber attacks.

“As we have repeatedly seen before, enemy hackers usually use topics that are relevant and sensitive for Ukrainians,” the message says..

Tips from the State Special Communications Service on how not to become a victim of cyber-intruders.

Do not click on any links received from strangers. Do not open attachments sent in messages from unknown addresses. Even if at first glance it seems that these are ordinary postcards or a holiday video.

Be wary of similar messages sent from friends.. Even your loved ones may not know they are accidentally spreading malicious links or attachments.. Or their account could be hacked.

Do not spread questionable information obtained from unknown sources.

Make sure your social media accounts are as secure as possible. Set up two-step verification at login - this will protect you from an attempt to hack your account.



Be wary of emails promising cash or other " Check information on official sources.

Earlier it was reported that the occupiers can arrange provocations for Easter - the SBU urges Ukrainians to be especially vigilant. Law enforcement officers recommend that believers refrain from mass gatherings in churches, and the heads of churches to minimize the number of those present at festive services.

Ukrainians are also asked to follow the curfew rules established by the administrations of each region..
