Martial law, which was extended by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine until May 25, provides for a number of restrictions on the constitutional rights of citizens. Including going abroad. This is stated in the article of the Ukrainian Bar Association for ZN. U.A..

As the Association of Lawyers of Ukraine notes, for the period of martial law and in conditions of general mobilization, it is forbidden to travel abroad for military men aged 18-60 years.

"

At the same time, the Ukrainian Bar Association added that crossing the state border at checkpoints is carried out subject to the exceptions provided for by law.

Firstly, the passage of adult citizens of Ukraine across the border is carried out according to the passports of a citizen of Ukraine.

“The State Border Service extended this rule, because during the period of martial law and active fighting, Ukrainians are not always able to issue international passports on time and promptly.. However, if you have a passport, it is still better to have it with you in order to avoid problems while staying abroad or while moving between countries,” the lawyers explained..

Secondly, the more documents issued by the state authorities of Ukraine, including those confirming the humanitarian purpose of the trip, a person can provide for passport control, the easier it will be to make a decision on his admission.
