Ingredients.
Milk (1/2 cup).
eggs (3 pcs. ),.
sugar (1/4 cup).
salt (a pinch).
butter (60 g),.
dry yeast (2 hours. ),.
flour (2 cups).
raisins or other dried fruits (1/2 cup).
For syrup.
Sugar (1/2 cup).
water or apple juice (1/4 cup).
rum (1-2 tbsp.
Cooking.
Pour warm milk, eggs, sugar, salt, softened butter, dry yeast and flour into a mixer bowl.. Knead for two minutes at high speed. Add raisins or other dried fruits and stir again. Cover the bowl with cling film and let rise for 1 hour.
Take a mold with a hole, such as a cake pan, and grease it with butter.. Put the risen dough there, cover with a film and let stand for another half hour.
In the meantime, prepare the syrup for soaking.
In a saucepan, combine sugar and water (apple juice), bring to a boil and cook until sugar dissolves.. Add rum at the end.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put the mold with the future grandmother in there. Bake for about 35-40 minutes, check the readiness with a wooden stick.
Pour the syrup over the hot cake and let it soak completely. It will take approximately 20 minutes. Then carefully remove the grandmother from the mold, cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
