According to the head of the Ministry of Justice, 42 countries have already applied to the International Court of Justice in The Hague against the backdrop of a large-scale war. The atrocities of the Russian military in Bucha were one of the important factors that prompted such a step.. Denys Malyuska clarified on the air of the telethon that the occupying troops did not bother too much with hiding and covering up traces, which could later become evidence in criminal cases.

Due to the very large number of crimes, experts from all over Ukraine are working to collect evidence in Bucha, but there are still not enough resources.

“Resources are difficult because the number of crimes committed by the Russian Federation is insane and it requires a lot of effort.. The problem is big, but war crimes are a priority. We have international support, experts from France will arrive this week, we are in negotiations with other EU countries,"

The hardest thing to prove the guilt of those who personally gave orders. The perpetrators did not bother too much with hiding traces, the minister noted.

“If it’s not too difficult to prove the killers’ guilt, because they didn’t really hide, they were sure that nothing would happen to them, they were sure of victory, and there was no question that they were hiding some kind of fingerprints or hiding from the cameras. This did not happen, because for the performers everything is not very difficult.

It is more difficult with their leaders, what orders were given, how they were formulated, this is a question that needs to be studied"

Ukrainian investigators are working to collect evidence such as interception of radio messages, documents, evidence of direct perpetrators who need to be detained. The complexity of the situation lies in the fact that the physical presence of at least the executors of criminal orders in the international court is necessary.

Recently, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called on scientists from around the world to study the reasons for the atrocities of the Russian military in Bucha. According to him, the tragedy was preceded by many years of Russian propaganda..
