The Ukrainian Bar Association in the article prepared answers to key questions about the general mobilization of Ukraine. Over the past month, about several million Ukrainians have become IDPs, or as they are officially called “Internally Displaced Persons” (IDPs).

If a person of military age is an IDP, is he obliged to register, and within what time frame?

Obtaining IDP status means that a person has changed their place of residence.

Conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists, upon arrival at a new place of residence, are required, from the moment they receive IDP status, to register with the military at their new place of residence within seven days.

The bodies for registering the place of residence of individuals inform the relevant territorial recruitment centers about the registration of the place of residence of a person.

In addition, the executive bodies of rural, settlement and city councils:.

- identify conscripts and those liable for military service who live on their territory and are not registered with them;

- they take such conscripts and those liable for military service for personal primary registration;

- sent to the district (city) military commissariats for military registration.
