The operation to unblock Mariupol is technically possible, but depends on the priorities for which the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine needs to spend forces and resources. Andrey Beletsky, the founder of the Azov Regiment, shared this opinion on the air of Radio Donbass. realities.

“The General Staff has the front - all of Ukraine, and it sees priorities in its own way. It makes no sense to criticize the decision in the war. In the military dimension, such an operation is possible. If the General Staff has free forces - even among the available resources - this is a reality. If there are no such forces, for example, the resumption of the offensive against Kyiv or Krivoy Rog, then it is clear that there will be a different story.. Not hypothetically, but in reality it is possible, but it depends on many factors,"

He added that we need to talk more about what is happening in Mariupol in order to make international organizations work more efficiently..

" If international organizations worked the way they did in Syria, then I am sure that a tough truce could be achieved for 5-7 days, when the wounded fighters could be evacuated and the majority of the population of Mariupol could leave the city.

But for this, we must not forget about Mariupol,"

In addition, Beletsky said that there were many wounded soldiers in the battles for the city.. He recalled that, according to the findings of American intelligence, 50% of Russian aviation sorties fall on Mariupol..

" This is not about military prowess.. Ammunition and metal just spill out onto the city,"

Earlier, the commander of the Azov regiment, Major Denis Prokopenko, said that in Mariupol the number of victims among the civilian population had reached three thousand people..
