Rules of conduct in the conditions of emission (leakage) of ammonia:.
leave the infected area perpendicular to the direction of the wind;
if it is not possible to leave the area of \u200b\u200binfection, you need to hide in shelters, basements, apartments and houses, having previously sealed windows, doors, ventilation (preferably with a cloth soaked in citric acid or a weak solution of vinegar or water);
it is advisable to go to the bathroom and turn on the shower for fine spraying (water absorbs ammonia from the air), do not turn on ventilation (draws clean air and draws in polluted);
if you smell ammonia, breathe through a moistened gauze bandage (preferably moistened with a 5% solution of acetic or citric acid).
First aid for ammonia poisoning:.
remove the affected person to fresh air;
give him warm milk with baking soda;
put on a cotton-gauze bandage moistened with water, preferably a 5% solution of acetic or citric acid;
in case of contact with eyes - rinse with water, wipe with vaseline or olive oil;
in case of skin damage - wash with clean water, make lotions from a 5% solution of acetic or citric acid.
