The World Bank (WB) has allocated nearly $100 million to support higher education in Ukraine during the war. The money will be used to pay academic and social scholarships..

The financial institution explained that due to the ongoing Russian invasion, many Ukrainian families cannot support the education of their children..

“Scholarship programs will help students secure their basic needs and services, and ultimately contribute to the continuation of the educational process and improve learning outcomes,” said Arupap Banerjee, World Bank Regional Director for Eastern Europe..
