Russian invaders stole Ukrainian water for 620 million hryvnias, according to the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine.
Having invaded our country, the Russians seized the hydraulic structures of the North Crimean Canal, and on February 27 they blew up one of the dams, a road bridge and the main partition structure in order to let the Dnieper water into the temporarily occupied Crimea.
“Currently, the Russian Federation is taking water from the Kakhovka reservoir in the lower basin of the Dnieper River, due to partial depressurization of the hydraulic structure of the North Crimean Canal with a throughput capacity of 50 m3 / s. (4,320,000 m3/day),” the message says..
This means that every day Ukraine loses 32.6 million hryvnias..
“The thief has already stolen water for a total of almost 620 million hryvnia. The thief must be punished! "

It should be noted that water supply through the canal is a complex system of hydraulic structures that requires pumping by pumping stations. Now the water flows through the canal by gravity, since the occupiers cannot regulate its supply..
