The head of the Kiev city military administration, General Nikolai Zhirnov, refutes the fake Russian propaganda about the cordon of large cities in Ukraine. He spoke about what is happening around the capital today in an interview with NV.

" no city surroundings. The farthest where the enemy advanced, in the Zhytomyr direction, is Yasnogorodka. But further was stopped. Despite the advantage in manpower and weapons, the enemy was unable to come out and take control of the Odessa highway. A similar situation is on the Obukhovsky and Boryspil directions. We recorded the exit of the columns, the Armed Forces struck,"

Zhirnov stressed that the enemy suffered losses, went on the defensive and regrouped.

" Every city in the Kiev region, our neighbors are strongholds in which our military and all residents stand up to protect their homes, streets and neighborhoods,"

At the same time, Irpen-Bucha-Gostomel, the Zhytomyr highway, Makarov and the northern part of the Vyshgorodsky district still remain dangerous directions near Kyiv, according to the Regional State Administration.. According to Zhirnov, at the beginning of a full-scale war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not have enough troops in this direction to stop the enemy at the border.. Therefore, the enemy was able to reach the borders of the Irpen River.

" Every day is hell for the enemy, the Armed Forces and Territorial Defense destroy the enemy from the inside. We inflict defeat on its rear, communications, equipment. Currently, the occupiers do not have enough resources. Moral and psychological state - low and does not allow to perform tasks.

In this regard, the enemy suspended offensive operations on the capital in this direction.. I repeat, the enemy does not have enough strength to continue the offensive,"

Recall that today the Russian media spread another fake Russian propaganda that allegedly large settlements in Ukraine are under siege.

" does not rule out the possibility of placing under full control large settlements, which today are practically surrounded, with the exception of zones used for humanitarian evacuation,"
