Ukrainian conscript soldiers will receive monthly additional payments in the amount of UAH 30,000 for the duration of martial law, and UAH 100,000 if they participate in hostilities to repel Russian aggression, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports..
The government amended Decree No. 168 of February 28, 2022, which removed restrictions on the payment of remuneration to conscripts.
Additional payments are intended for fighters of: the Armed Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the National Guard, the State Border Service, the State Security Directorate, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, the State Service for Special Transport. And also for the rank and file and commanding staff of the State Emergency Service and the National Police.
All categories of the military who are directly involved in hostilities or ensure the implementation of national security and defense measures in those areas and during the relevant events can count on the payment of UAH 100,000 per month, in proportion to the time of participation in them.
The families of servicemen who died in this war are paid a one-time financial assistance in the amount of UAH 15 million, which is distributed in equal shares to all recipients.
