For several days, the cities of Bucha and Irpen, near Kiev, are under shelling. There are fights going on. Residential buildings and civilians become the target of direct enemy strikes. At the same time, the invaders do not allow the evacuation of the civilian population. Victoria Kurylenko, a resident of Bucha, told what kind of situation people are in there, and how she and her family were able to escape from the city.

" It was no longer possible to stay in the house. Three days without electricity, heat, mobile communications, under constant shelling and in suspense: will it arrive at our house or not?. By sound, we have already learned to determine what exactly is shooting (hailstorms, tanks, artillery), how far from us, is it time to run to the basement or can we still sit in the corridor behind a load-bearing wall, ”the woman wrote on Facebook.

According to her, the basement is addictive. Victoria Kurylenko noted that if you sit in it for several days in cold and darkness, it paralyzes mental and physical strength, determination melts, fear grows, it becomes more and more difficult to get out of it.

“Some of our neighbors with small children have been in it since day one.. I realized that the basement can not succumb. And on the 10th day of this trash, we ran out of everything: food, candles, water and patience. An understanding has come, if we don’t run away today, we won’t run away at all. And we ran,” said the woman.

According to her, the option to leave by car was not considered.. After all, the day before they ran away from the house on the same street, another family tried to leave in a car. Russian invaders shot them. The enemy hit the mother and four-year-old child.

“The doctor Ira Yazova remained in our house - she provided them with medical care, because ambulances and firefighters do not go to us now. We set off on foot to Irpen along the railroad five of us: me, Lesha, Masha, Marik and Marinka. In the field they came under the first shelling, the husband later said that he heard a bullet whistling past him, t. stupidly shot at a peaceful family with children,” writes Victoria Kurylenko.

She and her family needed to get to the church on Sobornaya Street, where they could charge their phones, drink tea and drive to the village of Romanovka, the last point of communication between Irpen and Kiev, by a passing car.. The woman says that the worst thing was at the entrance to the Irpin park.

“The shell exploded literally next to the high-rise buildings, glass fell down, the walls trembled, and we just fell to the ground and covered our heads with our hands.. We were driven to the church by a broken car with a red cross, and from there to Romanovka. The last push was along a broken bridge to our checkpoint, behind which evacuation buses were waiting.. Here we ran as fast as we could under machine-gun fire. It seems that Marinka thought it was a game, when some military man picked her up and carried her across the bridge, she even laughed. Marik was in shock, but he also ran as best he could, only asked for headphones all the time, it was simply unbearable to hear these sounds, ”says the woman.

She added that they were driving on the bus lying in the aisles between the seats, because nearby, too, something was torn and rumbled..

“And here we are in Kyiv, tomorrow we are going further to the West, somewhere where no shots are heard.. I never thought that the main value for me would be silence.

A couple of hours after our forced march, a shell hit our house. Fortunately, in the technical floor under the roof, but nevertheless. And people are still left in our house - without light, heat, food, water, communication with the outside world, without protection and hope for an early evacuation,” said Viktoria Kurylenko.
