More than half of Ukrainians consider the Minsk agreements to be non-binding

More than half of Ukrainians believe that Ukraine should implement the Minsk agreements only partially or not at all, and 20% of citizens consider them mandatory. Such data of a sociological survey was published by the SOCIS center.

Thus, 25.9% of citizens say that Ukraine should not implement the agreements concluded in Minsk in 2015 at all, and 30.7% believe that they should be partially implemented.. At the same time, 22% of citizens do not know how to treat this document.

At the same time, 25.8% of citizens are sure that Russia tried to seize even more territory of Ukraine without the Minsk agreements, and 22.1% consider this probability to be very high.. And a quarter of Ukrainians are sure, or most likely sure, that even without agreements, the aggression of a neighboring state would pass into a passive phase.

A total of 52.2% of Ukrainians believe that in 2015 Ukraine had no other option but to sign the Minsk agreements, although 21% of citizens believe that another way to resolve the situation was.

A sociological survey was conducted on February 11-16, 2022 throughout the territory of Ukraine, except for the occupied regions, among 2000 respondents.

Research method: SATI telephone interview. Statistical sampling error +/- 2.4%.
