National Bank bans accepting Russian rubles on deposits

The National Bank of Ukraine introduced a restriction for Ukrainian banks to conduct cash transactions on deposits in Russian currency. The corresponding resolution of the Board of the National Bank No. 103 of October 8 is published on the regulator's website and comes into force on October 21, 2021.

The National Bank has banned rubles with the image of the annexed Crimea in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the United States may prohibit buying Russian bonds.
