In connection with the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in the Kerch Strait, where in the evening of November 25, 2018. Russian border guards opened fire on the Ukrainian ship group, as a result of which six sailors were injured, captured small armored artillery boats Berdyansk and Nikopol and the regular tug Yany Kapu, captured 23 sailors of the Ukrainian Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Since the beginning of the undeclared war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, more than 4 years have passed, however, unfortunately, the war continues. Losses among the citizens of Ukraine wounded and dead are estimated in tens of thousands of human lives.. It should be noted that the Odessa region borders on the zone controlled by the Russian Federation - the unrecognized World of Transnistria, which is actually part of the Republic of Moldova occupied by the Russian. The consequence of the immediate territorial proximity of Odessa in Transnistria is the possibility for the agent network of the Russian Federation to constantly maintain contacts and coordinate with the Russian Consulate in Odessa. We emphasize that the aforementioned diplomatic institution of the aggressor country is the center of cultivation of the “Russian world of the Russian Federation” in the south of Ukraine - in the territory of the country where, starting in 2014, the curators of the Russian Federation are trying in every way to destabilize the situation and lead to an invasion by military / terrorist / propaganda. For 4 years in a row, state services, residents of the region and residents of Odesa oppose the aggression of the Russian Federation to preserve peace and a high level of security for local residents, tourists from Ukraine and other countries.. Recall that in the spring the RSL already appealed to the leadership of the security services and the Cabinet of Ministers with a request to initiate the closure of the Russian Consulate General in Odessa - the center of enemy agents in southern Ukraine.

Considering the decisive actions of the world community and Ukraine in the fight against the hybrid war, terrorism, and now open military aggression from the Russian Federation, we ask the heads of state services to use their powers and help resolve the issue of the need to close the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Odessa.

In case of support of the initiative of the civil society of Odessa, in order to reduce the risks of intelligence and terrorist activities by the aggressor state in the strategically important city of Odessa, we ask that this issue be considered by the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
