The document provides that citizens of Ukraine will be able to visit Georgia on the basis of internal passports in the form of ID-cards that contain a contactless electronic medium.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs recalled that today an agreement is in force between the countries on visa-free travel dated March 31, 1999. The agreement exempts citizens from issuing long-term visas for a stay of more than 90 days.

As of mid-June 2018, 5.1 million Ukrainians used the visa-free regime with the countries of the European Union.
