83% of children going to the first class will study in Ukrainian classes. This was announced on Monday, August 20, by the director of the department of education and science of the city council Elena Buinevich during a hardware meeting.

"To date, we have submitted more than 11,000 applications to the first classes, and more than 9,000 children, namely 83%, will be trained in Ukrainian classes.

This is 25% more than before, - said the official. "And it is very pleasant for us that this choice is voluntary, as in the initial classes pupils and parents independently choose the Ukrainian or Russian language of instruction".

Well, it remains to be satisfied with such a happy combination of patriotism with common sense among the people of Odessa. In any case, this means that most of our fellow citizens connect the future of their children with Ukraine.
