The US handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine two counter-battery counter stations AN / TPQ-36.
The cost of a package of such equipment (together with training and details) is about $ 50 million.
The symbolic certificate for the equipment was given to the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko by the US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Jovanovic.
These radars will help to avoid civilian casualties, and will also provide an opportunity for the APU to prevent this. Radars allow you to clearly identify and provide the necessary information for artillery units.
The AN / TPQ-36 mobile anti-ballistic radar station is designed to automatically locate enemy artillery positions, missile launchers and mortars. At the same time it can handle fire from several places to 10 different types of weapons, with a maximum range of 24 km.
