The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to conduct a pilot census of the population of Ukraine in 2019. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development, transmits UNN.

This decision is part of the preparatory activities for the All-Ukrainian Population Census, scheduled for 2020.

It is noted that a pilot population census will be conducted in the Obolonsky district of Kiev and the Borodyansky district of the Kiev region in December 2019.

Conducting a pilot population census will allow: to form technologies, to develop tools and methods for conducting the population census; Test the use of tablets and laptops during the census to speed up the introduction of statistical information and its processing; to work out the organizational arrangements for conducting the census, in particular further processing of the received data.

Responsible for conducting a pilot population census, the government appointed the State Statistical Service. The national police must ensure public safety and order.

Let us note that the last time the All-Ukrainian Population Census was conducted in 2010.

As UNN reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created an interdepartmental commission on the promotion of the All-Ukrainian Population Census.
