It is difficult to be a teenage girl. Especially if you are a boy.

You know, probably this is a social order of the time - we need to learn, discuss, accept or not accept, penetrate or not be imbued with certain social phenomena and problems. This can be done through the cinema.

We empathize with the main character of the film Lara. We see how difficult it is for her and her loved ones when the boy decides to be a girl. Lara is very lucky to be born in Belgium, where a new girl will not be called, teased. Where will the psychologist work with her and her family?. Where the father changes the habitat, work and other established habits only for the sake of Lara being happy. Where the family will actively help her feel like a girlfriend. Where in the clinic will help prepare for the operation for sex change. Where in the ballet school will help to cope with pointe shoes, on which men traditionally do not dance. Where only once at Lara there will be a misunderstanding with the girls-ballerinas, and she will feel humiliated.

Lara will cope with all problems, we are sure. Sometimes as maximalist, as a stubborn and self-righteous teenager. But he will manage, and in the finale we see a girl walking in the crowd, tall, slender, elegant, confident. Now she is happy, probably.

Very much is taught by the film. Tolerance in the first place.

The delicate work of an actor who plays Lara. No vulgarity or pinching of emotions. Careful work, on the verge of documenting.

Thanks for the movie.

And then I was lucky to watch the gala premiere of "Hot Summer Nights" (directed by Elijah Baunum, USA).

The story of just one summer, lived in a resort town of Massachusetts by a teenager who fell in love with a girl who made friends with a local mafioso who got into the drug trade and so on. The plot develops slowly at first, then rolls off the mountain like a snowball, and faster and faster, and the action becomes impetuous. And everything ends up badly. It can not end well when drugs come on stage. A sad story, in general. We laugh almost the whole film, except last minutes of ten - final, when there comes a payoff for everything, and life is reversed.

But I would not like to write about this. And about the young actor Timothy Shalame, in whom I fell in love, as I once fell in love with the boy who played in the movie "Terminator-2". The camera loves it, the young actor is organic in any frame, the face is very interesting sculptural modeling, plus the apparent presence of intelligence. And what a sight! In general, if everything goes right, then we get an interesting promising actor.

I would like a positive acting fate.

The operator in the film masterfully removes faces close-up. Enjoy watching the faces, so cool are shot close-ups.

Enjoy watching even the smallest in the frame of the role. William Fichtman is very good in the role of an old addict, and we see in what abyss his hero dragged the popular drug addiction.

A lot of small things that make the film fascinating to watch. Thanks again!.

I look forward to the next day.
