The mandate of the OSCE mission in Ukraine was extended by one year

The mandate of the OSCE Specialized Monitoring Mission in Ukraine was extended until March 31, 2019. This is reported in Twitter, the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna, reports UNN.

"The mandate of the CMM OSCE was extended until March 31, 2019. The delegation of Ukraine delivered its interpretative statement in which it noted that the SMM should have full and unhindered access to the entire territory of Ukraine, including the Crimea and Sevastopol.

All EU countries, the US and Canada supported, "- said in a statement.

As UNN reported earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavel Klimkin, sent Angelina Alfano, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the request of the Ukrainian government to extend the mandate of the mission for 2019.

The mission began work in Ukraine at the invitation of the Ukrainian side. This decision was supported by 57 OSCE participating States.
