These funds will be used to finance specific US support projects for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular such as the training of servicemen, the provision of military equipment and equipment, lethal defensive weapons, other military equipment and services, logistics support. The list of types of assistance includes also the intelligence support of the armed forces and the security forces of our state.

The estimate of aid to Ukraine through the US State Department and related agencies is estimated at $ 420.7 million. , which is $ 10 million. exceeds the corresponding expenditures of the previous year. Increased funding is aimed at strengthening support for Ukraine under the "International Military Financing" program.

Before the entry into force, the consolidated budget appropriation law for 2018 must be approved by the Senate and the House of Representatives and signed by the President of the United States.

Recall that at the beginning of September 2017, committees on the US Armed Forces of the House of Representatives and the Senate approved a "compromise" draft defense budget for the 2018 financial year, which provides $ 350 million for Ukraine, including in the form of lethal weapons.
