In October the amount of the subsidy will be insignificant for objective reasons - in October the heating service was provided for an incomplete month. In December, there will be a report on the amount of the subsidy for the full month.

In general, during the heating period, 6.6 million Ukrainian families received government assistance to pay utility bills. Of these - 5.8 million housing subsidies and 800 thousand. - subsidies for solid fuels.

When calculating the size of the subsidy for the heating season 2017/18. incomes for the first and second quarters of 2017 were taken into account. The subsidy was automatically calculated for all those who were reassigned in May of this year for the new period 2017-2018.

The Ministry of Social Policy noted that those families who did not have time to issue a subsidy before the start of the heating season, the government will compensate for the October costs of utilities. Public utility expenses for November will also be compensated in case of applying for help in December - within two months from the start date of the heating season.

In addition, citizens who became pensioners, for example, in September this year, or pensioners who stopped working in October this year, and have no other income other than a pension, can apply for a grant based on only one income - pensions.
