The multi-day road race "Giro d'Italia" in 2018 will begin on May 4 in Jerusalem, an individual race with a separate start at 10.1 km. The routes of the first three stages of the Grand tour are laid through the territory of Israel. At the first stage, athletes will pass the building of the Knesset, and finish it at the walls of the Old City.

The start of the second stage (167 km) will be given in Haifa, the riders in Tel Aviv finish, the route of the third stage (226 km) - Beer Sheva - Eilat. Earlier, the Giro d'Italia, which will be held from May 4 to 27 in 2018, started 11 times outside of Italy, but for the first time it will take place outside Europe. By the way, at the last "Giro" Slovenian racer celebrated victory for 6 km before the finish.
