Victoria Mironenko's new course in photography history will be dedicated to photographic schools

Institute for Promotion of Cultural Events and NT-art gallery present the course "Photographic groups and schools in the history of world photography", 6 lectures.

The history of photography is, first of all, the history of individual phenomena. It is a holistic phenomenon, whether a group or a photographic school, as a rule, set the direction of the development of photography for many years. Six lectures of the course "Photographic groups and schools in the history of world photography" reveal features of photographic associations, groups and schools important for the history of art, such as "PhotoLiga", F / 64, New Topographics, Dusseldorf and Boston schools and others.. How and why did such phenomena occur? On what reference points were they concentrated? Who owned the championship in groups and schools? What was their impact on the world photography?.

Victoria Mironenko - art critic, Ph.D. (PhD), associate professor at the Department of Cinema Operatorship of the Kiev National University of Theater, Film and Television. Karpenko-Kary. Theme of dissertational research: "Peculiarities of the art of photography of Kiev in the period of Independence".



Victoria is a grant student of the Minister of Culture of Poland in the framework of the Gaude Polonia program (2006), she was trained at the Zamok Ujazdowski Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, as well as in the Tadeusz Kantor Center for Documentation of Arts in Cracow, coordinator of the Third Month of Photography in Kiev (2007) -practical conferences, the author of numerous scientific publications and publications in specialized art publications.

Time for classes: 12, 13, September 14, 18: 30-20: 00, 20: 00-21: 30.
