The main person involved in the riots case on May 2, 2014 in Odessa, Dmitry Fuchedzhi received Russian citizenship. Information on the new citizenship of Fucegie was handed over to the Ukrainian side by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia. This is reported by Gromadske.

The RF Prosecutor General's Office refused to extradite Ukraine to Fuchegy, citing the fact that he is now a Russian citizen.

Former deputy chief of the Odessa regional police, former chief of the public security police, Dmitry Fuchedzhi, is suspected of deliberate inaction and improper protection of public order during the events of May 2 in Odessa.

Five days after the tragic events in Odessa, Dmitry Fuchegy left Ukraine and left for Transnistria. Since May 15, 2014, the ex-law-enforcement officer is on the wanted list, but only within the Ukrainian territory. Interpol refused to declare an international search, seeing in this issue the political underpinnings.
