On the platform "Socially Active Citizen" Maxim Astakhov registered a project called "Stormglass". The author proposes to install in the city four installations from an artistically designed pedestal and a flask, in which there will be a solution that reacts to the weather.

The liquid in the vessel consists of water, camphor, alcohol, ammonia and potassium nitrate. In order to start the device, it is possible to close it tightly enough and leave it in a quiet state.

Maxim Astakhov with the principle of the unusual device met six years ago. According to the recipes, he himself created a prototype, and after the advent of the online platform, he came up with the idea to turn a meteorological device into a monument. In his opinion, this will create a unique tourist site.

"The device itself is very ancient, it is about 200 years old. It was invented by Vice Admiral Robert Fitzroy.

He used it during his round-the-world voyage on the Beagle, along with Charles Darwin. It was quite a sensational journey, "- said the author of the project.

The total budget of the project is 230 thousand hryvnia. Initially, the guy plans to place installations on the Primorsky Boulevard and in the parks of Odessa, but if the project goes through a vote, the decision on the final version of the placement will be taken in the mayor's office.
