Ukrainian law enforcers handed Italian policemen detained in April in Odessa, the famous Italian criminal Giuseppe Nicosi, who for a long time was on the international wanted list. On Tuesday, April 18, Nicosi was extradited to his homeland.

This attacker stole from the Italians hundreds of millions of euros and many years of hiding in different countries, - said Lutsenko.

He believes that after the transfer to Verona of the stolen collection of old paintings found last December on Turunchuk Island in Belyaevsky district of the Odessa region, Nikozi's extradition "was another step towards strengthening Ukrainian-Italian cooperation between law enforcement agencies".

Lutsenko hopes for the retaliatory steps of the Italian siloviki and for a "constructive stance" against the ex-fighter of Natzgardia Vitaly Markiv, detained in Italy, who was suspected of murdering an Italian journalist in the Slavyansk district in May 2014.
