Today, July 17, during the meeting of the Council for Agriculture and Fisheries, the Council of the European Union approved the decision to grant Ukraine additional trade preferences.
Earlier this decision was approved by the Committee of the European Parliament on International Trade, and then by the European Parliament.
It is worth noting that the final decision is different from those previously approved. In particular, the following annual quotas are established: for honey - 2,5 thousand. Tons, processed tomatoes - 3 thousand. Tons, wheat - 65 thousand. Tons, maize - 625 thousand. Tons, barley - 325 thousand. Tons.
Preferences will be introduced for up to three years as a supplement to the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.
