Cherry went up for the first week of July by 20%. In the markets it is sold at 28-35 UAH / kg.
Have fallen in price - raspberries, currants, blueberries and strawberries, writes "Info Shuvar".
The rise in price of cherries is associated with a significant excess of demand over supply. In the purchase of cherries are interested in processors from Ukraine and Poland. Both countries this year will harvest a fairly poor harvest of cherries due to spring frosts. Therefore, today Ukrainian cherries are offered on average 30% more expensive than a year ago.
Over the same period, raspberries have fallen in price by almost 10%, to 20-30 UAH / kg, and for the currant sellers ask 15-28 UAH / kg, that is 15% cheaper than a week ago. Experts explain such a significant reduction in the price of the increase in supply of these berries in comparison with last year. In addition, while processors are fully focused on the purchase of cherries, enterprises plan to harvest the currants and raspberries closer to August.
The price reduction occurred on blueberries, today it is offered at wholesale markets at UAH 50-68 / kg. For a week, it fell by almost 20%, to 60-68 UAH / kg.
However, experts in the future do not predict a significant reduction in the price of blueberries, because now in this berry very interested processors, and the proposal is relatively small due to the spring cold snap.
Decrease in prices this week recorded on strawberries garden, despite the very small supply of this berry on the market, the prices for it decreased because of rather sluggish demand. Specialists note that this situation is traditional, since the peak consumption of strawberries falls at the end of May - the first half of June. Today on the wholesale markets of Ukraine strawberries are offered at 30-40 UAH / kg. This is 10-15% cheaper than last week.
