The Emergency Situations Department made public the details of the current fire at the Svitanok Oil Trade depot, which is located in the suburbs of Odessa.

According to the ministry, the call that the petrol tanker is burning on the street of Zheleznodorozhnikov, 16 village of Usatovo, entered the rescue service at 11:30.

"At 11:58 the first firefighting and rescue units arrived to the scene and established that in the territory of the tank farm an open fueled petrol truck. The total area of ??the fire reached 100 square meters. There was a threat of spreading fire to nearby reservoirs.

Therefore, firefighters proceeded to work in two directions - they began to extinguish the gasoline carrier and protect the adjacent territory from fire. At 12:16 the units of the State Emergency Situations Department localized the fire, and at 12:30 - completely eliminated it. The cause of the fire is clear, "- noted in the Civil Service.

Two people were injured: the driver of a petrol tank truck and the worker of a tank farm.

60 rescuers and 19 fire-fighting and special equipment units were involved in the liquidation of emergency situations.
