The state delays payment of consumer subsidies, despite the fact that "Naftogaz" only paid taxes and dividends for a much larger amount.

"During the first six months of 2017, the Naftogaz Group paid 67.5 billion UAH of taxes to the state budget (according to operational data as of July 4) and dividends. This amount is almost equal to the amount paid by the group to the state budget for the whole of 2016 (74 billion UAH), "the press service of NJSC" Naitogaz Ukrainy "reported, pointing out that revenues from Naftogaz accounted for 17% of the budget revenues in the first half of the year.

The company claims that this amount is enough to allow the state to pay subsidies to the population to cover the cost of gas.

"In the first half of the year, the cost of gas supplied by Naftogaz, which should be financed by targeted subsidies, was 49.2 billion UAH. At the same time, from the state budget to the accounts of consumers as of the end of June received only 29.5 billion UAH. The targeted subsidies for the amount of UAH 19.7 billion remain unprofitable, "- said in" Naftogaz ".

It is noted that the constant and significant delays in payment of the value of gas already sold by the state holding create the risks for the accumulation of gas reserves that will be necessary for Ukraine to pass the heating season 2017-2018.

Recall earlier in the Ministry of Social Policy reported that since the beginning of 2017, subsidies have received more than two million Ukrainian families. The department also told why the number of refusals to grant subsidies is growing.
