The shooting of the continuation of the popular TV series "Liquidation" is foiled due to the fact that the performer of the main role, the Russian actor Vladimir Mashkov is included in the lists of persons who are banned from entering Ukraine. This was announced in Facebook by the producer of the film Sergei Chliyants, the former Odessa.
"This post is only for Odessa citizens. A year ago, older comrades invited me, probably as a student of Odessa, to take part in the filming of the second part of the film "Liquidation". I had to prepare and shoot in Odessa. Everything went horoscho. And suddenly like a bolt from the blue: Actor Vladimir Mashkov is barred from entering Ukraine. What is the "Elimination" without David Gozman? !! So: the shooting is broken. Tell me, Odessa citizens, are not you greeted, standing at the opening of the Odessa festival, awarding Mashkov the title of honorary citizen of our city? And now. An honorary citizen of Odessa, the legendary David Gozman, one of the best actors of our time, Vladimir Mashkov, has no right to act in a movie in Odessa. Is it possible to trample down so much the love of hundreds of thousands of Odessa citizens and millions of citizens of Ukraine? Hey, you there, upstairs! !! !! Do you have another Gozman? Are you angry? What did the actor do to you? What do you think, Odessa citizens? ".
"As far as I understand, Mashkov did not sign any letters and, in my opinion, was not even in Crimea. All the time that we were preparing the shooting of "Liquidation", we did not know about this prohibition. Shooting "Liquidation-2" eventually hangs, because without Mashkov this film simply can not be. Well, who else will play David Gozman, if not him? The script is written on it. Therefore, we all postponed until the situation is resolved. I hope that it will be excluded from the lists of those banned from entering. Because the laws of Ukraine, he did not violate, "- said the producer.
Note that the popularity of the series in Odessa was so great that in 2010 B. Mashkov was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor from the Odessa police for "popularization and significant contribution to the creation of a positive image of the law enforcement officer and high performing skills". Also in Odessa, he was awarded the prize "For Contribution to the Cultural Life of the City" at the First International Film Festival.
In December 2008, the current Prosecutor General, and then Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko solemnly opened in Odessa, near the building of the police department on the street. Jewish "monument to David Gozman" - a bronze sculpture dedicated to the collective image of the Odessa militiaman of the postwar period. The opening of the monument took place in the entourage of the series, and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs himself cited quotes from the film.
At the same time, the title of "Honorary Citizen of Odessa" was not awarded to Vladimir Mashkov.
